Phrenology head 1. Running your hands over your (or the subject's) skull, you find most noticeable (tick all that apply):
  1. A well-developed protuberance towards the base of the skull
  2. Prominent areas behind and slightly above each ear
  3. A bump about halfway down the back of the skull
  4. A prominence behind the temples, about halfway up the sides of the head
  5. Noticeable areas above the ears, towards the top of the skull
  6. A prominent region in the centre of the top of the skull
  7. A prominent region towards the centre of the skull but slightly wider and shallower than described above
  8. A well-developed area on either side of the head towards the centre of the top of the skull
  9. Prominences above each temple
  10. A noticeable area towards the centre of the front part of the skull
