Well, this puts a slightly different complexion on all those cosy headmasterly chats…
On a much less flippant note, it makes me very cross. I think that to mention it at this stage in the game, in an extra-canonical fashion, is utter tokenism and that JK Rowling’s claim that she regards her novels as a “prolonged argument for tolerance” and urges her fans to “question authority” is either towering self-delusion or total hypocrisy.
